How we Size Gemstones?
Length Measurement:
- We start by placing the gemstone on a flat surface.
- Then, we use a vernier caliper to measure the longest distance across the gemstone.
- It's important to measure in a straight line from one end to the other for accuracy.
Width Measurement:
- Next, we locate the widest point of the gemstone while it's still on the same flat surface.
- Using the vernier caliper, we measure across the gemstone perpendicular to the length measurement.
- We make sure to record this measurement for precise sizing.
Height Measurement:
- Finally, we determine the height of the gemstone by measuring from its bottom to the highest point.
- Ensuring the gemstone is upright, we use the vernier caliper for an accurate measurement.
- Then, we take note of the height measurement to complete the sizing process.
